This is how we do it
- We remove the contamination that has leaked deep below the ground by heating the soil.
- When the soil temperature is at 100ºC, the contaminants evaporate.
- The evaporated contaminants are extracted under vacuum and sent to our treatment plant (located in the containers).
- Here they are separated from the air, caught at carbon filters and sent to destruction.
The site transformation happens in 4 steps:
Why this technology?
- The technology we apply on this site is called Thermal Conductive Heating and we have documented great results on more than 20 projects around the world.
- It removes 99.9% of the contaminants / It effectively removes the contamination
- It is especially suitable for residential areas as it prevents any contact with hazardous contamination and makes it possible to keep the infrastructure.
Is the technology safe?
- The technology is completely safe both for the environment and people living nearby and working at the site
- The cover on top of the treatment zone ensures that no vapours can leak into the air.
- Air quality is measured daily
- All processes (both below the ground and in the treatment plant) are constantly monitored online
- An online alarm system secures immediate transfer of alarms to the guard.
- There is always a guard on duty 24/7 when the site is in operation
